Dyson have made a name for themselves as pioneers when it comes to vacuum cleaner technology, and this model further cemented that reputation for them. Despite being cordless, it can rival most other vacuum cleaners when it comes to suction power.

One of the weaknesses of a battery-powered vacuum cleaner is, of course, that once the battery runs out, you generally have to wait for it to charge back up before you can continue cleaning. This has been the case with Dyson as well. However, with certain variants in the V11 series, they introduced interchangeable batteries, much like you’d see on power drills and other such tools. This particular variant includes an extra battery, so you can just swap them and continue cleaning.

On a full charge, each battery lasts about 60 minutes, which should be more than enough to clean your whole house. Once it’s time to charge, it takes about 270 minutes to fully charge a battery. One advantage of a Dyson vacuum cleaner is that it operates on full power until the battery runs out, so you won’t experience any drop in performance when the battery starts to run low.

This particular variant of the V11 has an extra-large dust container, two litres compared to the 0.75 litres that are otherwise the norm for Dyson. Just as other models, it uses a “point and shoot” system to empty the dust bin, where you hold the bin over your waste container and pull a lever to empty it.
